Just a Little Note

This list was not put in any particular order.

I think all of the Forums are

equally important.

It's all about

what you need

and when you need it.

SquidU Benefit # 1

Opinions & Suggestions

use Critique Me

SquidU: Critique Me

After 6 months of creating lenses on Squidoo I visited SquidU. I wish I had done it since Day 1 because after that first visit I understood that the best thing I could do right after I published a lens would be take it to SquidU and post it in the Critique Me Forum before working on my SEO.

There is nothing like a new pair of eyes looking at your work. Somebody with a fresh perspective on what you wrote and the choices you made. I'm often told about a useful module I didn't know about or a different option for my presentation.

SquidU Benefit # 2

Back-Linking, Sharing, Selling

use Spotlight

SquidU Squidoo
SquidU Squidoo

SquidU: Spotlight

The SquidU Forum is NOT Squidoo. It has its own URL so when you post a link to your lens it creates a backlink. This helps search engines understand that someone / something other then Squidoo has noticed you.

Another great thing, People who visit your lens will (sometimes) also add to your SEO by "Liking" it on Squidoo and other social networking sites.

Make sure you include the Bookmark Module in your lens to make it easier for folks to do this for you.

By-the-way, you are allowed to sell your lenses and this is a great place to advertise.

Tech Support

use Help, Please

SquidU: Help, Please

If you are stuck because you want to make something happen on your lens but Squidoo doesn't seem to be co-operating take your dilemma to the Help, Please Forum. Make sure to post a link to that lens and explain clearly and in detail the situation but not so much detail that you loose the average reader. I know that I have seen posts that seem to go on and on and on and include multiple lens links. I don't stay there long.

My personal experience has been that there are ALOT of seasoned lensmaster on this forum ready and willing to help. It is the best Urgent Care Clinic I have ever visited.

SquidU: Tricks of the Trade

If you visit a lens by someone who has been on Squidoo for more then a couple of years you will find so many cool things incoporated into their lens. They will have frames around their Table of Content and there will be 200 Squidoo likes and 500 Facebook likes on a lens with just 5 modules, Amazon buttons that look nothing like yours and Squidoo Squids with eyes that blink.

These and many more "Wow" things are being discussed on the Tricks of the Trade Forum. It's a wealth of infomation to help you make your lens work better. Alot of these topics you would have never thought of yourself. It's a treasure trove.

Psst... these are lensmaking secrets.

SquidU Benefit # 5

Stuff You Would Have Never

visit Chatter Box

SquidU: Chatter Box

Don't you enjoy just hanging out with friends. How about meeting new people from all over the world that share something in common with you and just chit-chat about Squidoo-related stuff. Thats what, the Chatter Box Forum is all about.

Greatest Benefit here is : It's usable random information. You'll find people talking about stuff you could have never imaged on your own to ask or to research. It's like setting in on two or more experts talking about something you Really need to know.

Important Note about SquidU

PLEASE: Read the Sticky Posts at the Begining of Every Forum. You don't want to get your post deleted or anger nor waste your time or that of your fellow lensmaster or the Moderators.
